Service Pupils

At Faringdon Community College, we are proud to support all our Service families. Our students from military backgrounds bring a wide range of experiences from both inside and outside of school, enriching our community and helping to foster understanding and resilience among all pupils.

We recognise that military life can bring unique challenges, particularly during times of postings and deployments. That’s why our dedicated pastoral team provides individualised support to ensure every Service child feels valued, understood, and supported.

What We Offer

  • Service Pupils’ Club – A weekly lunchtime club where Service pupils can come together, make friends, and share experiences.

  • Projects & Visits – Opportunities to take part in exciting projects, including visits to universities and military bases, where pupils can help shape how Service provision is developed in our school.

  • Trips & Experiences – Memorable visits to events such as the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) and other enriching experiences throughout the year.

Our Commitment

We are fortunate to be located close to several military camps, offering unique learning opportunities for all our pupils and strengthening our connection with the Armed Forces community.

Our pastoral team is always available to offer support, especially during times when family members are deployed or away on detachments.

If you would like to inform us of any upcoming deployments or changes, please email or complete the Deployment Form.
