House System
The FCC House System encourages students to use their initiative to develop new skills and interests and to work alongside others throughout the school community. Central to this are our House captains promoting the benefits of student leadership and taking on new roles.
House points are awarded in a number of ways:
- Achievement points accumulation
- House activities and competitions.
- Termly tutor group challenges (created and hosted by our senior House captains).
- Participation in whole school events, e.g. Sports day.
Each House has a Google Classroom on which details of House activities, competitions and results are posted by our department staff reps. At the end of the school year, the House Shield is presented to the House with the highest number of points.

The FCC House System was established in 2020 with students in Year 7 selecting the names of our Houses and designing our House logos.
Designers:
Ben H (Cherwell)
Indie P (Evenlode)
Jadon A-L (Thames)
Layla D-B (Windrush)
With thanks to Rutendo (Y13 graphics student, 2020), these designs were then made ‘FCC ready’ and are the logos for our four Houses: Cherwell, Evenlode, Thames and Windrush.
